Japan Trip Planner: Build a Multi-Stop Route

Pick 2 to 5 prefectures on the map and the planner puts them in the shortest order (by distance between prefectural capitals) and suggests how many days to spend at each stop: 1 day, plus 1 for prefectures with over 3 million people and 1 for those larger than 8,000 km², up to 3 days.

How to use it

  1. Open the map with the planner.
  2. Tap 2 to 5 prefectures; tap again to remove one.
  3. Choose Build route to get the itinerary, with best time to visit, highlights and how to get there for each stop.

Example routes

Any route can be linked directly: /p/trip.html?stops= followed by prefecture codes separated by dashes (see the code list).
